Last night was quite an evening for many talented people one of which was the gentleman who directed the documentary An Inconvenient Truth, as well as songwriter Melissa Ethridge for the title song. Many congratulations to them and, especially, to Mr. Al Gore who has worked tirelessly for many years lecturing on the subject and is now receiving well-deserved recognition and applause.
Happy Feet, also, won for best animiated feature film. This was wonderful since it showed support for a film which showed the need of protecting the environment for the sake of precious wildlife very often left at the mercy of what man leaves behind.
Mr. Gore’s information in the documentary is “an inconvenient truth” since it means that with the knowledge of global warming comes responsibility. It means making some adjustments in our lives that is not always deemed convenient. We all live on this amazingly beautiful planet. We are not isolated from one another because everyone of us calls it home. It’s the only one we have folks. What we do to the earth, we do to ourselves.
I pray that the earth may be as beautiful for future generations in years to come as it has been for us. Action must be taken now. We can make a difference in the environment if we all work together. How? Start living “Green” today if you’re not already doing so. Go to www.oscar.com , as well as www.fuelnews.info, to view some of the affordable, simple ways you can be a part of the solution.
God bless you, Donna
